The Miss Derry Scholarship Program is proud to announce the selection of our
29th. Miss Greater Derry, Stephanie Iacuzio of Derry NH, Miss Greater Derry 2016

On June 19th. 2015 Miss Stephanie Iacuzio was selected as our Miss Greater Derry 2016 and awarded a $4,500.00 scholarship with the title. Stephanie was also the recipient of a $500.00 scholarship for Academic Achievement bringing her total scholarship funds earned at our pageant to $5,000.00.

Stephanie is a 22 year old resident of Derry New Hampshire and is the daughter of Gennaro and Kim Iacuzio. She is a recent graduate of Plymouth State College where she majored in Childhood Studies to become a teacher in K-8.

Stephanie's scholastic honors include: National Honor Society; New Hampshire National Merit Scholar; Plymouth State University Honors Program Member; Plymouth State University Fall 2011-Spring 2012 Presidentís List; Plymouth State University Fall 2012-Spring 2013 Presidentís List; Plymouth State University Fall 2013-Spring 2014; Presidentís List; Plymouth State University Fall 2014-Spring 2015 Presidentís List.

Stephanie's leadership roles include: S.W.A.T. Team Member (Student Winning Attitude Team); P.A.L.S Leader (Pinkerton Academy and Little Students); Plymouth State University Honors Program Student; A.S.C.D (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development) Member; Marital Arts Instructor (7 years); Plymouth State University 2012-2015 Community Advisor.

Some of Stephanie's accomplishments include: Receiving my 4th degree black belt in Shaolin Kempo Martial Arts; Receiving the honor of the title ďSenseiĒ in my studies of Shaolin Kempo at the age of 17; Graduating from Pinkerton Academy in the top 10% from a class of 750 students; Maintaining a 3.98-4.0 GPA and making the Presidentís List for all 8 semesters of college; Graduating Summa Cum Laude from Plymouth State University this past May.

We look forward to working in the community this year with our Miss Greater Derry.

"The United States Junior Chamber of Commerce Senate Foundation offers a $1,000.00 scholarship to graduating high school seniors who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools. The number of grants awarded annually is at the discretion of the Foundation and must be used for educational expenses in the first year of full-time study."
