#1 Lauryn DeBaie Lauryn is an 18 year-old Londonderry resident and the daughter of Kathryn Nichols and David DeBaie. Lauryn is a sophomore at Pennsylvania State University. Lauryn’s platform issue is “Fit & Fun: Fitness for Today’s Youth”. She will perform a dance twirl to “I’m Alive”.		#2 Elysha Greenberg Elysha is a 19 year-old resident of Windham and the daughter of Frannie and Michael Greenberg. A sophomore at Brandeis University, Elysha majors in Psychology with a minor in Spanish. Elysha’s platform issue is “No Butts About It: Substance Use and Abuse Prevention and Awareness”. She will present a Flute solo to “Arabian Nights”.		THE MISS GREATER DERRY SCHOLARSHIP PAGEANT CLASS OF 2008-2009 Lauryn DeBaie of Londonderry NH was selected as Miss Greater Derry 2008-2009 at the Adam's Opera House in Derry, NH June 27, 2008. Miss DeBaie received over $6,000 in scholarship awards			#3 Alicia Zajac Alicia is a 19 year-old Derry resident and the daughter of Debra Zajac-Soucy and Stephen Zajac. A sophomore at the University of New Hampshire, Alicia is majoring in Occupational Therapy. She will present an acro-jazz routine to “You Can’t Stop the Beat” from Hairspray. Alicia’s platform issue is “Just Breathe: Creating a Safe Environment for Adolescents with Asthma.”		#4 Rebecca Scalera Rebecca is an 18 year-old resident of Derry and the daughter of Paul and Doreen Scalera. Rebecca is a sophomore at Southern New Hampshire University where she majors in Advertising. Rebecca’s platform is “Juvenile Diabetes Awareness”. She will perform a vocal presentation of “Only Hope”.
#5 Lauren Gorgol Lauren is a 19 year-old resident of Londonderry and the daughter of Holly and Stanley Gorgol. She is a sophomore at Northeastern University majoring in Physical Therapy. Lauren’s platform is “Closing the Generation Gap”. She will present an Irish Step Dance to “Lord of the Dance”. Chantel is a sophomore at Southern Maine University. Her platform issue is “Girl Scouts: Where Girls Grow Strong”. Chantel will perform a Jazz Dance to “Ya’all Ready for This”.
#7 Alyssa McLaughlin Alyssa is a 21 year-old Derry resident and the daughter of Priscilla McLaughlin. She is a senior majoring in Mathematics and Psychology at the University of Connecticut. Alyssa has chosen “Skin Cancer Awareness and Prevention” as her platform issue and will perform a Dance Twirl to “The Impossible Dream” during the talent competition.								#8 Danielle DiPasquale Danielle is a 17 year-old resident of Derry and the daughter of Richard and Laura DiaPasquale. She is a senior at Pinkerton Academy. Danielle’s platform is “Made for Stage: Advancing Performing Arts Curriculum in School”. She will present a Jazz Dance to “Puttin’ on the Ritz”.
#9 Samantha Massahos Samantha is a 19 year-old resident of Salem and the daughter of Robin Walbridge and Jim Massahos. A sophomore at Keene State College, she majors in Psychology. Samantha’s platform is “Diabetes: Raising Awareness in Hopes to Find a Cure”. She will perform a vocal presentation to “A Change in Me” from Broadway’s Beauty and the Beast.	#10 Christiann Unger Christiann is a 20 year-old resident of Danville and the daughter of David and Debra Unger. She is a senior at the University of New Hampshire where she majors in Biology. Christiann’s platform is “Blood Donation: Give Blood, Save Lives”. She will present a tap dance to “Miss Otis Regrets”.				#11 Justine Barker Justine is a 23 year-old resident of Pembroke and the daughter of Joy and Brian Barker. She majors in Communications at Southern New Hampshire University with a double minor in Public Relations and Psychology. Justine’s platform issue is “High School Dropout Prevention: Motivation Graduation”. She will present a Jazz Dance to “Cha, Cha, Cha”.	#12 Janine Mitchell Janine is a 19 year-old resident of Derry and the daughter of Alan and Melissa Mitchell. She is a sophomore at Emerson College where she majors in Broadcast Journalism. Janine’s platform issue is “Breaking the Barriers of Beauty”. She will present a lyrical dance to “Let It Be”.				#13 Nichole Iacuzio Nichole is a 17 year-old Derry resident and the daughter of Gennaro and Kim Iacuzio. She is a senior at Pinkerton Academy. Nichole’s platform is “Go M-A-D: Go Make a Difference!” She will present a tap dance to “Footloose” during the talent competition.
