Angels for Allie
Spaghetti Supper hosted by
the Miss Rockingham County Program |
On
August 8, 2008, the Miss Rockingham Program, hosted a
spaghetti dinner and raffles to raise money to help
defray some of the costs associated with Allies
treatments. At the dinner Allie received her own crown
and princess sash from Miss NH, Natalie Shaw. |

J. Letourneau, Miss
NH Natalie Shaw and Miss NH preliminary titleholders
were present to help with the fund raising and wish
Allie and her family success on the next leg of their
journey for Allie's recovery. |
Katrina
Bernard, Miss Derry 2008 being congratulated by Senator
Letourneau for her civic commitment. Ten Senator then
presented Katrina with a proclamation from the NH Senate
and the Governor of NH, John Lynch. Katrina raised
approximately $1,000 through her fund raising efforts of
raffles at the Miss Greater Derry Bingo game. |

Allie's dad holds a symbolic check for $5,883.00 that
was presented by Paula Moore
on behalf of the fund raising events that were held to
benefit Allie. |

The Miss Greater Derry Scholarship Program could not
be more proud of the accomplishments of Katrina Bernard
as a representative of our organization, state and our
youth. Her commitment to her community is commendable
and serves as a reminder to us all that we are
responsible for helping others. She epitomizes the last
sentence of the Jaycee creed "and that service to
humanity is the best work of life". |
