THE 21st. MISS GREATER DERRY
IS CROWNED |
|
The Miss Derry Scholarship Program, Inc. is
proud to announce that on June 22nd. 2006 Katrina Bernard of Derry
NH was crowned as Miss Greater Derry 2007-2008. Katrina received
$6,000.00 in scholarship awards for the title and was also voted by
her peers as Miss Congeniality which awarded an additional $100.00.
Miss Greater Derry also received an official Miss America Local crown, and a "Miss
Derry Crown Pin" created by and donated by GEM Jeweler's of Derry
NH.
A reception was held for the new Miss Greater Derry at the Fire Hall
Grille & Pub after the pageant.
Katrina competed against twelve other
contestants
for the title of Miss Greater Derry in interview at "Promises to
Keep" in Derry and talent, swimwear & fitness, and eveningwear at
the Opera House in Derry on Friday night. |

Katrina appeared on Derry's C17 cable
station to promote her platform "Head Injury Awareness" and to
publicly launch "Don't Break Your Crown, Wear a Helmet" campaign.
She co-hosted the episode with Larry Seaman (Around Town Producer
and Host). In our segment 1 Larry interviews Katrina about the Miss
America program and her platform. In our
segment 2, Katrina
interviews Erin Hall of the Brain Injury Association of New
Hampshire. |

The Miss Derry Scholarship Program
raises most of it's scholarship awards and operating capital by
operating a Bingo game at Taylor's Hall in Windham, NH. The hall
seats 300 players, has a separate smoking area, plenty of free
parking and a refreshment concession serving hot dogs, hamburgers,
homemade foods (the menu is always changing) cakes, candies, chips
and beverages. Come down and try us out.

The Miss Derry Scholarship Program welcomes to our family of

"official photographer" He shot many photographs at our Miss Greater
Derry Pageant on June 22nd 2007 and the reception held at the Fire
