SCHOLARSHIP PAGEANT

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS |
|
AGE |
Must
be at least 17 by the date of our pageant and be no older than twenty
four (24) on December 31, 2008
|
|
RESIDENCE |
Must reside in; be enrolled in and
attending classes on a full-time basis at an accredited college or
university; or be employed on a full-time basis for six months within a
20 mile radius of Derry, NH in a NH town. |

CITIZENSHIP |
Must
be a U.S. Citizen
|
|
EDUCATION |
Be at least a high school senior. |
|
MARITAL STATUS |
Single, never been married.
|
|
TIME COMMITMENT |
Be able to meet the time commitment and
responsibilities as set forth by the local program in which you compete.
|
ADDITIONAL
REQUIREMENTS |
-Must have never been pregnant.
-Must not be the adoptive parent of any child.
-Must never have been convicted of any criminal offense.
-Must not have criminal charges presently pending.
-Must be in good health and can participate fully and without limitation
in any Program activities.
-Must not use or consume any illegal controlled dangerous substances or
abuse the use of alcohol or other dangerous substances.
-A relative of a Local Pageant director or any local pageant volunteer
is not eligible to enter the local pageant for which her relative serves
as a director or volunteer. However, you is eligible to compete in
another local competition in the same state. (State Board makes final
determination).

COST TO ENTER THE MISS GREATER DERRY
SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION |
The Miss Derry Scholarship Program does not
charge any fee for entering or competing in our scholarship pageant.
Miss America does require that you raise $100.00 for the Miss America
National Platform: Children's Miracle Network prior to competing in a
local pageant, $250.00 should you win a local competition and compete
for the title of Miss NH and $500.00 should you become Miss NH and
compete at Miss America.
(NOTE: The Local Chapters and Miss NH State Chapter are actively
raising funds to offset this requirement and invite all local and state
contestants to participate in the Unified fund-raising events!) |
